Selly Raby Kane

On the first night of Lagos Fashion Week, I wore a piece by Selly Raby Kane I purchased from Alara. To my surprise, I met her outside the venue. She looked incredibly cool, and when I stopped her to ask for a photo, she noticed I was wearing one of her designs. I was thrilled to realize it was her.

Selly mentioned that her collection was being showcased next, so I rushed inside to find a good spot. I wanted to document her pieces from some of the interesting angles around the venue, beyond just the standard runway shots. She seemed like the kind of person who appreciates unique perspectives.

Meeting Selly was a highlight for me. I was so excited to tell her how much I admired her designs and to be able to capture her work.
